Building on yesterday’s article: Does business really convert business using social media? Social Media is so new, still so fuzzy, the answer often remains elusive.

…social media is changing the real world if, only, by letting each of us see what so many others around us think.

“Analytics” is perceived as a kind of ugly, nasty, ‘black box’ topic. Today’s goal is to break the black box open for you. Don’t risk losing 24% of your revenue due to ingorance–when you already have the knowledge to avoid such a snafu!

The New Social Learning takes us beyond social technologies themselves, beyond Facebook and Twitter, to look at their direct impact on our lives, today. Read this book to see how ‘learning’ is evolving around you.

Every once in a while you come across a new book that just knocks the ball out of the park. And, so it is with Charlene Li’s Open Leadership. As an active proponent of social media I’ve read a number of books on the topic. Yet Open Leadership is the first that has a presented a practical, pragmatic, and far-reaching discussion about how to integrate it into the fabric of existing companies.

Most people prefer to avoid mud slinging. But what do you do if someone’s slinging it at -you-? Today, you have to at least defend your positions.

Looking for ways to be seen as innovative, progressive, & ‘fresh’? If you’re a business leader, event planner, or meeting facilitator, you’re always watching for ways to make them better.

Today’s a quick post sharing some of my first impressions having picked up a new Kodak Zi8 camcorder.
I’ve done more, had more fun with this camera in the past week alone (puppy vids, school concerts) that I have in the last decade with my ‘nice’ video camera.
Why is it, so many people feel uncomfortable discussing social media?
Discomfort discussing Social Media stems from two basic issues: ignorance breeding distrust.
