The key to success is clear: Smooth, rapid, delivery of a product demands effective, clear, and complete communication between all involved parties. It is better to risk over-communicating than the alternative. And, only through frequent communication can teams hope to adapt to change (they need to know about it).
Maybe we should call these Software Anthropology meetings.
The world around us continues to evolve; nothing new there. But many organizations, even as they change what they look like, have largely stayed the same inside. Social, technical, global evolution has now come so far organizations simply have no choice but to finally begin changing who they are inside.

Mid-life crisis is the result of so many having run out the maps others laid before us…covering the first 35-40 years of American Male life. Increasingly, I suspect the problem is not so tied to just ‘males’ nor Americans, either.

Organizations are now struggling with a lack of team members who know how to put it all together. Volumes of knowledge have been lost and are hampering competitiveness. Where have the foremen gone?
When evaluating a new job, look beyond the ‘tangible’ considerations. Use your network, listen to hallway discussions, ask for an org chart…

To keep it simple, there are two real values to creating a plan. Understanding and keeping on track. Here’s what I mean…
It is important as you nurture an idea into a viable product that you assign a proper perspective your input sources. Neither should necessarily trump one or the other though how you weight them may vary occasionally.
